Due to the economic recession during the Corona virus, the normal life of the people was greatly disrupted. That effect greatly affected the common people who made a living from daily wages. An idea shared at that time came to fruition in a few days and the youngest organization among the institutions related to the temple is the Community Care Unit. However, it has done a great service so far.
In these activities, the main resource contribution so far is the local doctor Ruwan Pathirana, the president of this foundation, and all activities are organized by the secretary of this foundation, retired principal J. it. Chandrasena Mahatma. In addition to this, various grants received from the Dharmawijaya Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles, USA are also given through this, and with the help of foreign friends related to the temple who do not want to be named, during the last crisis, 150 families were provided with a value of Rs.10,000/- on 04 occasions dry food parcels have also been awarded. The purpose of this is to prepare a mechanism for the needy to receive the various grants received by the government.
